Duékoué
A highly prospective molybdenum-copper prospect located in the District des Montagnes in western Côte d’Ivoire.
In Côte d’Ivoire, Serval is advancing the Duékoué project, which is the subject of a Joint Venture Partnership and earn-in agreement with La Minière de L’Eléphant SARL (Laminele). The project is strategically located on the Archean-Proterozoic boundary, where discoveries are exhibiting significant iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) and porphyry system characteristics, similar to leading deposits in Brazil and Australia.

Project Description
Initially identified in the 1970s by SODEMI, exceptionally high molybdenum-in-soil values exceeding 1000ppm were detected in the area, with copper anomalies in the 250-300ppm range. The locations of these anomalies were recently confirmed by the Company via a soil sampling programme, with a total strike length of ca. 3 kilometres indicating significant potential for valuable mineral deposits. Multiple soil samples have also established moderately anomalous concentrations of gold which warrant further evaluation of the project as a potential copper-gold project in due course.
Multiple mineralisation models have been theorised from the SODEMI data, being either an IOCG or porphyry copper-molybdenum model. This is a prospective region for shear-hosted IOCG mineralisation, including the Odienné project about 350 kilometres from Duékoué where Awalé Resources has reported significant copper-gold intercepts in what is interpreted as an IOCG deposit, and has recently started an 88,000 metre drilling programme.

The next phase of exploration comprises ground magnetics, geological mapping and soil sampling to further investigate the geology and mineralisation, with any drill campaign being focused accordingly in due course.
The Company’s management has a strong track record in the Côte d’Ivoire, with CEO Robin Birchall previously serving as Chair of Awalé Resources, which formed a joint venture with Newmont to explore for IOCG-style discoveries in Côte d’Ivoire, focusing on the Company’s Odienné IOCG project.
